Next Stop - Petroleum Centre StationWe're a bit further down Oil Creek, but still north of Oil City. You notice people flagging down the train, asking it to stop. Probably reminds you of people catching the bus at a bus stop. Can you see the sign? It says "Petroleum Centre". Back up the tracks, in the distance, you can see Pioneer Village. We passed it on the way down. We passed the sites of fifteen ghost towns on our journey south. Everything is so beautiful; the rolling hills, and of course, Oil Creek. There are a few people getting off here. They have camping and fishing supplies. This is a huge area for outdoor sports. Some find it hard to believe it used to be a "boom town" for the oil industry. Off to your left you'll see Oil Creek State Park's Museum and Visitor Center. You can see some people have decided to stop off here and have a picnic. They'll probably catch the round-trip ride back up to Drake Well or Perry Street. A few cyclists have jumped on the Gondola Car. The bike path that started by Drake Well Station ends here. They'll probably ride back on a round-trip. Everyone is getting on the train. The Conductor is getting ready to pull out once more. "Last Stop - Rynd Farm Station" shouts the conductor.
